Amazon replaced the old instant Order History Report with a privacy data request flow. The export is still available, but it can take hours or days and Amazon may split orders, returns, and digital purchases across several CSV files.
Step-by-step:
1. Use a desktop browser and sign in to amazon.com.
2. Open "Your Account".
3. Scroll to the "Manage Your Data" area and choose "Request your data" or "Request your information".
4. In the data category selector, choose "Your Orders".
5. Submit the request. Amazon will usually send an email asking you to confirm the data request.
6. Confirm the request from the email. Amazon says complex requests can take a while; recent user reports range from minutes to a couple of days.
7. When Amazon says the request is ready, download the ZIP file from the link in the email or from the data-request page.
8. Keep the original ZIP as your source copy. If you unzip it manually, look for files and folders with names such as "Retail.OrderHistory.1".
9. Upload the full ZIP, or the Retail.OrderHistory CSV files, to the Amazon Order History CSV Cleaner.
What the export can include:
- Retail order-history CSV files
- Return or refund CSV files
- Digital purchase CSV files
- Other account-data CSVs that the tool ignores
What the cleaner creates:
- One normalized CSV with order, return, and digital rows
- A yearly summary CSV
- A source-file audit CSV
- A summary text report with warnings
Important limits:
- This is not tax, bookkeeping, or accounting software.
- Amazon may change CSV headers or split data differently by country, account type, or time period.
- Compare the cleaned CSV with the original Amazon files before using it for reimbursements, insurance, tax prep, or business records.
